Flow-Thru Horn for Sonifier® Ultrasonic Homogenizers

Overview Designed for pharmaceutical research, the flow-thru horn has two inputs at the non-vibrating nodal point of the horn.  A premixed substance is fed through one of the inputs while the horn is ultrasonically activated.  Because two inputs are available, two different types of material can be treated simultaneously.  The processed solution then exits at the tip of the horn.  The horn can be used as a continuous flow device to collect the solution in one vessel. FAQ What is the internal volume of the Flow-Thru Horn? The exact internal volume isn't specified, but the central channel in the flow-thru horn is 1/8" diameter and approximately 3" long. This channel would therefore have a volume of 0.037 cubic inches, or 0.6 ml. The inlet port length is small compared to the central channel, so these would not increase the total internal volume substantially.
