Fertility Testing Panel I Female
The Fertility Test Panel measures the blood levels of Estradiol, FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) & LH (Luteinizing Hormone). Why is the Fertility Test Panel panel important? Estradiol is the main form of estrogen produced by the follicles. FSH stimulates the ovaries to produce the follicle. A high FSH level (generally over 11) suggests that the follicles are not responding as well as they should be to FSH stimulation. Low Estradiol levels, particularly when associated with a high FSH level, suggest menopause. LH is also important for ovulation and, in conjunction with FSH, helps evaluate the efficacy of ovulation. A consistently high LH level is suggestive of menopause. Do I need to prepare for the Fertility Test Panel? Some specialists will say that this panel is best performed on Day 3 of your period.
