David Bowie and Mick Ronson, Guitar Fellatio, 1972 David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust performing what has been called "guitar fellatio" with Mick Ronson during a performance of their Ziggy Stardust Tour at the Oxford Town Hall in June of 1972. Bowie had planned on doing something unusual - taking the cue from Jimi Hendrix playing his guitar with his teeth - and told Mick Ronson to just keep going, no matter what he did on stage.Mick Rock was ready in the wings when it happened and printed the photograph that same night after the show. The next morning he brought it to Bowie who wrote on it in Tippex (White-Out), “Thanx to all our people for making Ziggy. I love you.
