Handmade on the island of Corfu, Greece, using locally produced olive oil and traditional recipes that have been in the family for 5 generations. Each bar weights 1 oz ( 30 gr). Our Green Olive Soap is made using only the basic raw materials of traditional soap manufacture: NO additives, NO fragrances, just 100% natural ingredients: olive husk oil, caustic soda (sodium hydroxide), natural sea salt, and water.  Green Olive Soap is made from olive pomace oil, which contains olive chlorophyll. Therefore, the soap is green when it is fresh, hence its name. However, the color fades on the outer layer as the soap dries and matures. This soap is renowned for its thorough cleansing properties while remaining gentle on the skin. It serves as an excellent cleanser for all ages, suitable for use from head to toe. To read more about this certification, click here. How is Olive Soap Made in a Traditional Way? The oil is heated in a large metal pot together with caustic soda, a process known as saponification. The mixture is then washed with a sea salt solution. After about ten days of cooking, the soap is hand-scooped into trays, where it cools and hardens. It is then marked, stamped, and cut, all by hand. Finally, the soap is placed on wooden racks where it stays for 4 months to dry and mature.   Why Olive Oil Soap Is So Good?
