Albuca foetida x Albuca spiralis My original hybrid of two attractive curly leaf South African bulbs. It has the best features of both species! Albuca foetida has graceful leaves that are straight at the base then develop loosely curly leaf tips. Albuca spiralis has thicker more heavily curled leaves that start curling much lower on the leaf. This hybrid has the long leaf base but tighter curls at the tips. These are two year old plants so haven't matured fully yet. I expect next year they will be somewhat larger but still have the same leaf shape. The stronger the light the more curly the leaves will be. This is very important! Low light gives straight leaves. Flowers are yellow and produced in the spring. Easy to grow. It is a winter grower, which means it will grow from fall to spring and is completely dormant in the summer, meaning it dies back to the bulb.
