Sterling Silver Widow's Mite Biblical Coin

Dating back to 103-76 B.C. this ancient, widow's mite coin pendant is set in sterling silver and hangs on a 22-inch, sterling silver link chain.  An ancient coin from the New Testament, the Widow's Mite is mentioned in the Bible in the tale of the impoverished widow who offered two little coins, or "mites," as a sacrifice. Usually, the coin is recognized as a lepton, a little bronze coin that was used in Judea. The Middle East's lowest currency denomination is known as a "prutah" as well.
