This authentic ancient coin dates back to 335-337 A.D. during the Roman Empire. The coin is 16mm in diameter set in a sterling silver bezel setting, and it comes on a 22-inch box chain. Showing a left side profile of Constantine, the great on the coin. Constantine I, also known as Constantine the Great, was Roman emperor from AD 306 to 337, and the first to convert to Christianity. He began his career by campaigning in the eastern provinces before being recalled in the west to fight alongside his father in Britain. After his father's death in 306, Constantine became emperor. He was acclaimed by his army at Eboracum, and eventually emerged victorious in the civil wars against emperors Maxentius and Licinius to become the sole ruler of the Roman Empire by 324.
