24K Yellow Gold and Sterling Silver Sapphire Sitting Lion 0.04ct

These ancient, inspired coins dates back to 7th century BCE. The front of the pendant features a lion. The coin is set in a solid sterling bezel and features a round, blue sapphire, bezel set in 24K yellow gold. The pendant hangs on a 24K yellow gold bail and comes on a 20-inch 14k yellow gold, diamond cut tube chain. The sapphires weigh 0.04 carats in total.  Lions appear on coins since the beginning of coinage, and many rare and beautiful old coins depict the king of creatures. The oldest image to appear on any coin is the head of a roaring lion on the Lydian electrum coins, which were developed by an Indo-European culture circa 650 BCE, possibly earlier.
