Bread Loaf Light
This playful lamp not only looks like bread — it is bread! Really. Made in Japan by artist and baker Yukiko Morita from a freshly baked loaf, each one is hollowed out by hand to accommodate a warm light LED bulb. Yukiko came up with the idea while working in a bakery as a means of reducing waste — unsold loaves are hollowed out as lamps, and the team uses the centers for other recipes! Each loaf is then coated with anti-bacterial and anti-fungal resin to protect and seal the lamp for years to come, which is a must considering the LED bulb lasts for 50,000 hours. Gift it to the person who already has a sourdough starter or a favorite kid in need of a joy-sparking nightlight. These unique bread lamps are exclusive to KonMari and sold separately.
