ROAST LEVELS Light Roast (Light City)Light brown in color, with a light body and no oil on the surface of the beans. Light roasts have a toasted grain taste and a pronounced acidity. Also, light roasts retain most of the caffeine from the coffee bean. These beans are pulled from the roaster during the beginning of first crack. Medium Roast (City)Medium brown in color with more body than light roast. Similarly to light roast, they have no oil on the surface of the bean.
