Harvested and hand crafted from South American Strawberry Guava.    The Suburitō overall is much thicker than a typical bokken. The Suburitō are used for practicing suburi (sword swinging exercises) and kata (prearranged exercises).  The weight of the suburitō is used for strengthening and conditioning in addition to development of the spirit.     The suburitō are used to develop and refine the practitioner's skills in Tenouchi (grasping of the sword), Hasuji (angle whilst cutting/edge alignment) and Tomei (the ability of stopping the sword).
