Notes: Brisk and light-bodied with notes of Muscat grape, citrus, and pine. Since the mid-1800s, the city of Darjeeling has been synonymous with the tea grown within its borders. Lighter liquoring than their southern Indian counterparts, Darjeeling teas tend to impart a sparkling astringency and muscatel quality (a spicy, white grape-like flavor) with a mild honey sweetness in their aroma. A single-origin tea from Goomtee Estate; the flavor compliments the Pacific Northwest with notes of citrus and woodsy pine. The tea steeps to a sun-drenched amber hue, with a light sweetness on the tongue, and its soft floral finish. The dry leaves range from deep dark browns and tans to sumptuous olive greens. They are graded as FTGFOP-1 or Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe #1, the highest grade. Type: Black Tea Water Temperature: 210 - 212 °F Steeping Time: 5 - 6 Minutes Growing Region(s): India
