This is a two-sided artificial sharpening stone, suitable for sharpening axes or other large tools where it's easier to move a small stone over a large and awkward blade than the other way around. It's around 3" across and 1" thick, with angled edges for a more comfortable grip in your hand. One side is coarse (120) grit, and the other side is medium (280) grit. They are made in the USA by Lansky.
