Beginner Kiteboarding Lesson - Introduction and Progression in Kiteboarding At Kite Paddle Surf (Bellingham Kiteboarding School) we have certified instructors (IKO or PASA) teaching kiteboarding skills to beginner through advanced riders. Lessons are scheduled based on conditions and forecast so it helps if you have a flexible schedule. Most lessons are taught from Spring through Fall. We teach kiteboarding lessons in a number of different shallow water locations. Our students come from Seattle, Tacoma, Vancouver, Hood River and Squamish. We have some of the best shallow and flatwater conditions in the state of Washington.  All students at different speeds but the progression of the lessons below is based on our experience teaching since 2006 in Bellingham and the IKO/PASA lesson program. All lessons are customized for the student to get the skills needed to progress. Most of our students take 2 to 3 lessons to comfortably kite independently. We recommend our students have 3 to 5 ho
