Easy Solution to Wire to Your Connectors This wire is designed for thermostats, but also for air conditioning, heat pumps, bell and alarm systems, signal systems, door bells, and remote control units where the voltage does not exceed 150 volts. However, they also can be used to connect to the wire terminal connectors for under cabinet lighting.  This wire is UL 13 and CL 2 rated for NEC 725.  It is solid soft drawn copper per ASTM B-3. It features heat and moisture-resistant brown color PVC insulation. It has a temperature rating of -4F to 140F.  The wire is 18 AWG with 2 conductors in parallel construction. The overall diameter is .136", the insulation is .006", and the jacket thickness is .015" This is for a length of 5'.
