Modern Jaguar & Land Rover Diesel engines are equipped with exhaust particulate filtration systems (DPF). In order for the systems to perform correctly the engine control system must know the exhaust temperature. This makes the EGT sensor an important and integral part of the system. This socket is used for removing and installing the exhaust gas temperature sensor.
