Muhsin Ertuğrul adapted Turkish names for the characters in his book. The early 20s coincided with a period when Muhsin Ertuğrul 's relations with Nazım Hikmet [Ran] got closer in Moscow, where he also met famous theater actors such as Konstantin Stanislavski.
