Founded as a monthly socio-political and artistic-literary magazine, it was published under the auspices of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Georgia. One of 10000 copies. The periodical was first published in September 1923 in Tbilisi under the name Chveni Gza [i.e., Our Way]. Renamed in 1926, this feminist publication ceased operations in 1939. It was revived in July 1957 under the title Soviet Woman. The magazine’s first organizers included L. Gasviani, V. Japaridze, M. Orakhelashvili, N. Charkviani, F. Gegeshidze, S.
