This beautiful live edge coffee table was made from a cookie/ crosscut round slab of Black Walnut. The sapwood (usually white or cream) was tinted a matte black, along with the natural edges. By inverting the natural colors found along the edges and sides, the dark chocolate heartwood visually pops with a richer tone! The top has been paired with dual U-Shape legs composed of 2" flat bar steel. The steel legs were finished in a darker clear coat to give a more industrial look and keep the same sheen as the top.  The wood has been kiln-dried, flattened, sanded smooth and finished in multiple coats of a satin/ matte hand-rubbed film finish. The film finish is protective against moisture, scratches, etc. This piece would make an a awesome coffee table for someone with limited space, a side table, end table, etc. A blend of minimalist, industrial and modern design, this table could blend into any interior design scheme.
