When a Peacock Speaks to You in a Dream

Lin Nelson Benedek earned her MFA in Writing at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. She has had poems published in three anthologies and in numerous journals. Her first full-length poetry collection, I Was Going to Be a Cowgirl, was published by Kelsay Books in 2017. A third-generation Californian, Lin lives with her husband, Tom, a mile from the Pacific Ocean in Marina del Rey. Their son, Nicky, lives in Highland Park, near Pasadena. A longtime psychotherapist, Lin is passionate about the importance of human connection and believes in the power of poetry to heal, connect and enchant us.
