V. J. Saraf lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with his wife and daughter. Born and raised in Virginia, he studied classics and physics at Harvard University and has lived previously in Germany and India. He runs a medical software and publishing business headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, and writes poetry on weekends. He enjoys sailing among the Harbor Islands in Boston Harbor, sketching in the few remaining cafés of Harvard Square, and passing summer nights watching the Red Sox at Fenway Park.
