Every October hundreds of pilots from around the world come to Albuquerque to celebrate the magic and beauty of hot air ballooning. The Mass Ascension at the crack of dawn attracts early risers from far and wide. Those of us who still have to get to work are used to seeing  balloons speckled across the sky on our way to the office. One of the many spots for good viewing is on the Big I, our highway junction, right in the middle of Albuquerque, depicted here on a hand-printed tea towel! The sight of all that color first thing in the morning, even before that first cup of coffee, is bound to put anyone in a good mood!
