The belt tensioner is a pulley mounted on a spring mechanism that is used to keep tension on the engine belts. The tensioner arm is found on the bottom of the tensioner, and if you press on it, it will work against the spring, delivering enough slack so that you can adjust or remove the belt. Due to engineering standards, some parts are updated or changed and are assigned a new part number. Previous part number was 7167164. This part is the direct replacement.
