The Canon Speedlite EL-5 boasts a fresh design and inherits multiple features from the top-of-the-line Speedlite EL-1, while also incorporating its own modern additions. One of these enhancements is the utilization of the LP-EL rechargeable battery, known for its high capacity. This improvement alone allows the EL-5 to outperform any Canon flash powered by AA batteries.
