Woven in the first half of the 20th century, this runner is a unique and valuable piece of history. Our antique Folk-art Heriz runner is hand-woven with handspun wool and natural vegetable dyes set through traditional, allergy-friendly methods.  Each of our carpets and kilims is unique, hand-knotted or hand-woven using 100% hand-spun wool. The color variations, known as "Abrash," result from the natural dye absorption of undyed wool or the use of two different dye lots available at the time of weaving. For those seeking uniformity, these pieces may not suit your taste. Instead, they stand as authentic examples of a vanishing craftsmanship tradition.
