Overview: This style of rug weaving that features a modern mix of both flatweave and high pile sections is most commonly found in Morocco's southeast region -- close to the Sahara desert. Sometimes called N'zerbi, this style draws from a number of different weaving modalities. The result is an expressive and textural work of art that reflects the creativity of the weavers who made it. We love the balance of the dark blue background with the colorful little motifs throughout the rug. This would be a great rug for a kids' room or to take center stage in a smaller living room.
