It is well known that the Honda Civic 1.5L turbo is very prone to heat soak, especially when using the stock intercooler. Due to the high charge air and cylinder temperatures caused by excessive heat soak, detonation risk increases. The prevalence of these problems increases with aggressive driving and/or higher power outputs. The dense 21.6x4.5x5.9" bar-and-plate core, machined billet aluminum end tanks, and 550+ horsepower rated (but we've pushed 600+) PRL Motorsports intercooler modification reduce charge air temperatures while increasing potential airflow! The engraved end tanks on this intercooler allow it to attach to OEM mounting points. All hardware required for a flawless installation will be included in the kits.
