On many high power builds we've found the stock alternator can't keep up with the current demands of additional components.  Larger cooling fans, auxiliary fuel pumps, upgraded intercooler pumps, additional injectors and additional electronic controllers can easily exceed the factory current requirements and the capability of the stock alternator.  The DC Power high output alternators are our "go to" when a vehicles current demands exceed the capabilities of the factory unit.  Not only do they work great but they also look great with a billet front case standard.  We normally spec them in anodized black with the standard cast rear housing or the optional billet rear housing but multiple color options are available upon request.
