Spore Print Specimen No. 27

Katie grew + collected various species of mushrooms before capturing their spores for each print. The mushroom’s wild and unpredictable release of spores on paper was as fascinating as beautiful. After many attempts, she carefully selected each spore print from the specimens that left the most surprising or interesting compositions and then preserved and photographed them. Our 8”x10” art prints are printed with soy inks on natural white, slightly speckled, archival paper made from 100% post-consumer waste.
