Harpune II, 26 String, Paulownia Wood - Model P1

This particular Kovac Harpune II, Model P1, serial number #DC011, uses Cherry wood for its various functional accents & string ribs. The sides of the Body (sound chamber), and the Top & Bottom Plates are made entirely from Paulownia wood.  Thus, this harp is very lightweight, at 10.8 pounds, and is melodic & articulate because of the thorough use of Paulownia for all of its internal & external sound chamber components. The tone is bright & even. The bottom hand is very bell-like. Its Paulownia tone wood soundboard uses only Paulownia inner supports and inner string rib, creating a very responsive transducer for its harp strings to interact with.
