TOM'S BRUSHSTROKE

Surfer: Tom CurrenLocation: RinconYear: 2019   What separates a really good surfer from a really great one is the latter’s ability to take a nothing wave and turn it into something beautiful. Tom Curren, applying his  brushstroke to this humble canvas; and in the process, masterfully creates this beautiful textural study of black and white imagery.   I was happy to have been able to capture Tommy artistry on his experimental skimboard some 40 years after my original images of Tommy were taken.
