Undertow

Acrylic on canvas, 48 x 42 x 2" Sometimes the oceans, rivers, and large lakes have incomprehensible undertows. They contain unfathomable strength and the ability to disorient so thoroughly. This painting was inspired as tumultuous feelings roiled through me. I moved through feeling perplexed and shocked, in awe and in a smooth flow with the paint. Calm fjords and billowing clouds carry you through this canvas. You may see lakes or rivers, storms, rain, rocks smoothed by centuries of waves, or snow. This one contains it all.
