Orca Dreams is a depiction of a dream I had. I’ve dreamt of orcas before, but this was the most emotionally captivating and eye opening dream I felt the most lucid in. I was walking off the coast of Santa Cruz with the tide so low I was wandering through deeper rock pools. I looked up and saw larger-than-life-sized orcas swimming in the sky heading towards me. Behind them was a huge teal tidal wave, towering over the orcas, also heading in our direction. Everything moved so fast and I closed my eyes. When I opened them again, I’m surrounded by water but I could breathe and see the orcas surrounding me. I felt mostly curious watching each one look at me and acknowledge my existence. It felt like they were welcoming me into their group, as if I made it home after being gone for so long. Then I woke up. This is one of those dreams I often find myself reminiscing. Feeling those feelings of fear, anxiety, and uncertainty change to relief, surprise, and happiness. It was definitely a chaotic
