A Brief History of the Coffee Corset It was 2007 and I’d just heard about this new website called Etsy where people were selling handmade goods. I wanted in on the action! I opened an online shop and started selling bags, small quilts, and – most notably – the original Coffee Corset (a quilted and ribbon-laced fabric cuff to replace the boring cardboard sleeves that come with to-go coffee cups). I designed the Coffee Corset through lots of trial and error with an eye toward making a really great looking final product in a really neat and efficient way. Between 2007 and 2014 I made and sold thousands of Coffee Corsets! The demand for them still existed at that point, but after making so many Coffee Corsets my desire to keep making them had waned.
