The Muddy ‘Sip
The Muddy Sip’ The Mississippi River is the largest river of the United States. It has always been a part of my life living with a few miles from it. The most difficult question to answer about the River is .....What color is the Mississippi River? It’s muddiness is of course most often associated with the most basic earth tone --brown. But which brown? It depends on where the flow of the River is coming from whether it be the Missouri River, the Arkansas River or the Upper Mississippi ...needless to say it depends on weather, cloud cover, etc. I'd go for a 'mud' colored light to mid-brown and with washes of a greenish light grey followed by a fairly dark blue wash. No matter the color, the massive size of the Mississippi River is a beautiful sight to see. Muddy Sip’is a variegated colorway of a steel gray, dark green and muddy brown Available in the following yarn bases. For a listing of all yarn bases click here.
