The additional cost for the black stainless is to pay for the bonding process. 6 Hinge bolts and  6 neoprene bonded stainless washers for sealing water out Any bolt that is not stainless, like ours, or titanium, will rust. In some coastal areas this process might take months or even weeks. We highly recommend the use of anti-seize with all of our bolts. The use of anti-seize on the bolt threads adds additional protection so you get the rust-proof benefit of stainless while drastically reducing any chance of corrosion with the non-rust proof parts the stainless comes in contact with.  These bolts will fit 1997-2006 TJ & LJ Wrangler Hood Hinges.
