A Fine Metamorphic Library Table/Steps

A fine and unusual mahogany library table which converts to a ladder. In outstanding, fully functioning condition. The top is lined in tooled, green leather. The apron is inlaid with ebony stringing and mounted with ebony and ivory knobs. The tapering legs are also inlaid with ebony and end in brass cup casters. The steps fold up and lock within the apron. A brass push-button at one end releases the locking mechanism. A brass molded edge protects the top as it bears the weight of one climbing the steps.
