original painting: 20x24, oil on panel (the original oil painting has been sold) This narrow basin sits in a remote location in the central Wind Rivers. When I visited this spot, smoke from wildfires muted the colors. I tried to convey the mood by using a more subdued color palate than the bright colors I typically use.
