Webb reveals a cosmic nursery glittering with stellar newborns (protostars), in this infrared view of NGC 346.  This star-forming regions lies in the Small Magellanic Cloud, which is a satellite galaxy of our own Milky Way. Dusty silicates and sooty molecules glow in blue, while the red glow represents dust heated by the biggest, hottest stars, in the heart of the region. Release Date: October 10, 2023
