Studio D'Artisan - "Amami Dorozome" Relaxed Tapered Mud Dyed Eastern Jeans - Dark Brown If you can't tell by now, we're stoked about the ancient mud-dyeing technique found only on Japan's Amami Oshima island. This technique blends mud and vegetable oil to create some of the most unique earth tones on the planet. We want it in every silhouette, but especially in this high-density chino. The twill has a wonderful weightiness to it that reminds us a lot of a heavyweight reverse sateen. They're dense but wonderfully smooth. They also have this incredible one-rinse treatment that makes them easy to wear upfront. We can't get enough of the fabric but they didn't skimp on the eastern details.
