Imagine you’re working in stockinette, but every few rows the stitches turn 90 degrees and travel sideways. The Jackie scarf starts and ends with only 11 stitches but grows into a kerchief-style scarf. The fun part is every fourth row is worked horizontally, which is sure to entertain you. The finished piece is a delightful combination of stockinette with horizontal rows that also – surprise – travel a bit diagonally. The pattern was created with Soffio yarn, a wonderfully luscious cashmere blend that knits up beautifully on size 10.5 needles.
