This a beautiful piece of amber with a numerous (I've counted 13!!) Winged Insects from the late Cretaceous of Myanmar! The insects are all in fantastic condition with articulated segments and fine detail! The amber is orange citrine with great clarity! It comes in a floating frame with a stand, a blown up picture of the piece taken with a microscope, and a label with details about the piece for easy transport and a beautiful display! The amber's dimensions measure 20.63 x 16.4 x 7.1 millimeters and weighs about 1.332 grams! Amber is petrified tree resin (not sap, resin is much thicker). It forms when trees secrete resin, and the resin is quickly washed away by water and deposited in a lake where it is covered by sediment (if the resin isn’t washed away it decomposes or gets eaten).
