SOLD   "Content With My Delusions" Ceramic sculpture with mixed media. Size: 27" x  21" x 11" Cost: $1800.00 "Content With My Delusions" I don’t like talking about my delusions since they are, by definition, not real — so by analyzing them I risk losing my delusions and with them my contentment … you see the conundrum. Let’s say for the moment that you agree to follow me down the rabbit hole — which, come to think of it, is also a delusion, right? But I digress … Once we arrive in my delusional world you’ll see that anything and everything has been altered: trees talk, birds divulge secrets into my ear, bizarre creatures join me in play — it is safe here. Strange, indeed! But safe. My delusional visits add mystery and delight to a world that I find increasingly difficult to tolerate … the meanness, greed, deceit and violence. Delusion becomes self-protection, a coping mechanism. You are welcome to join me here. Jacquline Hurlbert  I have used this title and theme for a past painting. I found the creation of that painting so enjoyable that I borrowed the title and symbolism for this ceramic sculpture.
