She was lost amidst a chaos of emotions. Her thoughts and sensations felt as if they were not hers, and she had a storm to walk through. Finally, she began stepping ahead of the trauma. Instead of ending up somewhere new, she stepped into the place where she belonged all along: within herself. Her colors reflect the lessons she gathered along her hero's journey. She had to find herself among an ever-changing sense of self. Like the eyes of a chameleon, she will survive among any hue of life. She is Hazel, and she is connected. If you know someone who lives with Depersonalization, or any other traumatic ailment, hold them and embrace them. They are sensitive beyond words, and therefore, indescribably beautiful.
