The standard Auxx-Lift design is optimized to have the long side of the platform align with the ceiling joists. However, this optional kit allows you to orient the platform perpendicular to the joists instead. This can be beneficial in situations where the joists are spaced too far apart for the standard parallel installation, or if you need to maximize the usable space on the platform.
