Lagwagon: Flip, Jesse, Joey, Leon, Dave .Punk-rock since 1990, Southern California's Lagwagon specialize in the kind of accelerated mosh pit rave-ups that Green Day later popularized to worldwide acclaim. Lagwagon haven't been as commercially successful as their SoCal peers, but they're still capable of full-on rock assaults like "Runs in the Family" and the minute-and-a-half diatribe of "Rager," as well as more subtle approaches like the title track and "Sad Astronaut," which trades its sensitive acoustic regret midway for dynamic punk attack.
