Erwin Rommel's mammoth AEC Armored Command Vehicle. Germany's Deutsches Afrikakorps (DAK) captured several British-built armored command vehicles (ACVs) during fighting around the Libyan village of al-Makhili ("Mechili") in April 1941, and two of the massive bus-sized vehicles were adapted for use by the legendary DAK commander Erwin Rommel and nicknamed Max and Moritz for mischievous boys from German literature.This kit features: Multi-part frame with armored exterior Latch and bolt detail Detailed drivers and cabin interior with (seats, radio equipment, Enigma-I cipher machine, receiver, transmitter, field telephone, table, maps and more) Jerry cans, antenna, optional extended or rolled tarps, wood textured floor and cabin walls, optional hatches, detailed driveline with exhaust system and rubber tires Separately molded on-vehicle tools, and photo-etch Decals and markings for three (3) vehicles.
