Original Items: Only One Set Available. These items date from before WW1 are from the famous London/Scottish Volunteers Regiment raised in 1859 by the Lt. Colonel Lord Elcho, the developer of one of Britain's most desirable rifle bayonets. Lord Elcho arranged sponsorship from "The Highland Society of London" and insisted they use the Elcho Tartan which was in fact a Hodden Grey thus avoiding inter Clan ill feeling. Lord Elcho famously said, " A soldier is a man hunter. As a deer stalker chooses the least visible of colors, so ought a Soldier be clad". Amazing foresight for the 1859! The Regiment has seen masses of action and boasts three Victoria Crosses. It revels in its nicknames: Other Ranks were known as "The Cockney Jocks" and the officers as Other Ranks were known as "The Piccadilly Allsorts." Today they are known as: "A ,(The London/Scottish), Company of the London Regiment." This set comprised of two items; a complete pre WW1 leather mounted Sporran bearing Regimental Badge
