Detecting At-Risk Online Students: Using An Early Warning System To Increase Success

Description  Overview The high cost of recruiting students for your fully online courses and programs necessitates rigorous student retention and success efforts to ensure a return on investment.  In this webinar, we will look at the importance of the early detection of those students in your online courses who may be at risk of withdrawal or failure due to academic or other challenges.  We will discuss the role of faculty in identifying such students, the mechanisms through which faculty can alert student services to the presence of such students, and possible interventions to increase the student’s chances of persistence and success in the courses.
