And to make his instruments even stronger than the average stick dulcimer he always laminates the necks by adding a contrasting piece of wood, which only adds to the beauty of his instruments. This particular one is similar to his $199 version, except this one features higher-grade, more "figured" maple and walnut stock. Simply put, it's prettier.  Trust me, you'll like it. This model is one of Steve's lower-priced pickin' sticks, made mainly from figured hard maple and walnut with the cedar top, but sacrifices no volume or tonal quality whatsoever. The details...
